It’s been a week since Nepian Vanessa Kwok, a Junior Data Scientist from our London office, took home the silver award at the prestigious Young ESOMAR Society (YES) Awards in Athens. We caught up with her to hear more about her experience, the impact of her achievement, and what it means for her career.

“Hi, I’m Vanessa, and I recently had the privilege of competing at the YES Awards, a global platform for young researchers to pitch their innovative ideas to the world. I was thrilled to secure second place, which not only allowed me to showcase my work but also connect with incredible professionals from across the research and insights industry.”

For Vanessa, the YES Awards were more than just a competition. It was an invaluable opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. She highlighted how the event helped her build her personal brand, providing her with a chance to be seen and heard by leaders and peers from diverse backgrounds.

“This experience pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Not only did it improve my public speaking skills, but it also helped me hone my ability to communicate the importance of my work to a broader audience – an essential skill in the market research field.”
